SR. PRINCIPAL ENGINEER
Location: Sterling, VA

Job Description/Essential Functions:
Serve as professional authority in spacecraft dynamics and stress analysis. Collaborate in preliminary and advanced spacecraft structural studies and prepare portions of engineering proposals. Conceive and develop solutions to spacecraft analytical, design, and test problems that programs experience. Analyze and resolve failures in test and serve. Assure continuity of design features from advanced design through contract completion. Write major portions of complex specifications and engineering reports as a result of advance studies, special engineering investigations and similar activities.

Required Qualifications:
BS Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred) with 5-7 years experience. Background in analysis required.

Candidate Must Have Experience in the Following Skills:

- Background in analysis required.

- Structural design and hand analysis

- FEM modeling and analysis

Desired Skills:
- PRO-E experience

- NASTRAN


2) STRUCTURAL ENGINEER (Spacecraft)
Location: Sterling, VA

Job Description/Essential Functions:
Experience with static and dynamic structural testing

Experience working with subcontractors

Proficiency with finite element analysis tools (Nastran preferred)

Proficiency with Matlab

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters preferred). 4 years of structural analysis experience with environments definition a plus.


3) SENIOR ENGINEER
Job Description/Essential Functions:
Under the guidance of a lead engineer, the candidate will develop environments such as random vibration, shock, and acoustics that simulate launch vehicle operation. Specific duties will include finite element modeling, component testing, and data reduction. Candidate must be able to understand scope of tasks, perform analysis utilizing appropriate classical and computer aided techniques, and prepare results for presentation orally and in writing. Other duties are required.

Working knowledge of environmental testing, procedures, and requirements is required. Specific experience with military or aerospace programs in accordance with MIL-STD-1540 or MIL-STD-810 is preferred. Test data reduction experience including spectral analysis (SRS and PSD) and filtering is desirable. Experience with analysis of aerospace vehicles a plus. Ability to perform fundamental analytical modeling techniques and prepare written analyses is required. Working knowledge of MS office is required. Working knowledge of Matlab and FEA software required. Patran/Nastran preferred.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters Degree Preferred)
