1) LEAD SR. PRINCIPAL SPACECRAFT GNC ENGINEER Location: Sterling, VA
Job Description/Essential Functions: Lead and manage Guidance, Navigation, and Control subsystem design and development efforts including supervising the GNC team. Perform GNC trades and analyses; define requirements, assess performance capabilities. Coordinate with Systems lead and other Subsystems. Manage GNC Subsystem cost and schedule.
Required Qualifications: BS in Aerospace Engineering or related field and 10 plus years experience. Able to supervise/participate in attitude control subsystem design and implementation. Detailed knowledge of spacecraft attitude control system design. Working knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink analysis tools, C/C++, and MS Office products. Good communication skills. TS/SCI clearance preferred.
Preferred Qualifications: Experienced with spacecraft attitude control subsystems. Able to design/analyze control system concepts including evaluating system requirements and deriving subsystem requirements; develop test plans, subsystem specifications, and error budgets: manage GNC work packages and personnel assigned to tasks; independently design and/or review control modes, control loops, and Kalman filters; document/review algorithms and test results.
