Job Description/Essential Functions: 
Qualifications:  
A Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or MIS, plus at least 2-3 years experience in performing business analysis activities which includes the detailed documentation of business requirements and identifying and constructing both technical solutions and process improvements.

Skills Needed: 
Experience in understanding business needs for designing, developing and deploying complex financial and business process model applications in business intelligence and performance management software. 

Experience with Cognos-8 tool set and environment - Cognos Planning Analyst and Contributor.  

Working knowledge of financial statements, systems and processes in a high-technology manufacturing environment.

Highly motivated, able to work to meet deadlines and maintain schedules.

Possess the ability to multi-task and work in an environment with changing priorities.

Duties Specific to the Position: 
Responsible for performing complex business analysis activities, Finance department focused, to discover business needs through user interviews, at all levels of the organization, resulting in identifying, recommending, and designing multipart technical solutions. 

Includes developing and maintaining effective relationships with a wide range of department business partners to understand their needs and articulate technology solutions in non-technical terms. Serve as an effective liaison between IS and Finance departments as necessary.

Provide analytical and decision support for the implementation and on-going enhancements of department and corporate applications including modeling assistance, application testing and identifying/resolving complex issues.
